Christians know that mental health issues are real, but they are skeptical of the world's answers. Because (1) they are trained not to trust what the world says and (2) the world doesn't respect God's Word; therefore, the world cannot be trusted when they talk about diagnoses and medicines to help with mental illness. Even though Christians see/experience mental health issues, they feel safer leaning on faith and the Bible than listening to the world.

  1. They need to hear that focusing on mental health didn't originate with the world. It comes from God.

  2. They need to hear that it's okay to focus on your mental health, and that all the world is saying about mental health isn't wrong.

  3. They need to have someone to help discern what is right and what is wrong about how the world views mental health.

In order to do this, they have to see it in the Bible.
